Software Engineer, AI Team

About the role

Sprig is rebuilding the customer survey platform around AI agents. As a senior software engineer on the AI team, you will help power the backend systems that turn raw user feedback into actionable product insights at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship backend APIs and AI inference flows that enable product and research teams to understand user experiences.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of well‑defined features, from design through implementation, monitoring, and iteration.
• Develop and maintain large‑scale distributed data pipelines and inference workflows processing hundreds of millions of events.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to review designs, debug complex issues, and improve overall system reliability.
• Contribute across the stack when needed, supporting both backend and full‑stack components.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building large‑scale backend systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, spending three days per week onsite.
• Interest in applied AI and delivering privacy‑safe, trustworthy insights.

Required skills

• Experience with distributed data processing and backend API development.
• Familiarity with AI inference pipelines and integration of AI services.
