Software Developer I

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Developer I to join ForSaleByOwner.com, a leading online platform helping homeowners sell their properties without traditional agents. In this role you will build and maintain web applications that are robust, scalable, and user‑friendly, directly supporting our mission to empower sellers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, code, and maintain high‑quality software solutions.
• Develop new features and enhance existing functionality on the platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define product requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability and performance.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and production issues promptly.
• Assist users with listing problems and respond to data‑access requests.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability with at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Go, PHP).
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
