Software Developer – Applications Development

About the role

We are looking for a Developer to join our Applications Development team in Jackson, MS. You will contribute to building and maintaining our insurance applications, working closely with senior developers and business users.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and document code for internal applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases, ensuring quality and performance.
• Research and resolve production issues reported to the Help Desk.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to address after‑hours production problems.
• Provide technical support to the IS department and business users.
• Document work progress, research, and status in Azure DevOps.
• Communicate regularly with business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge through online, in‑house, and off‑site training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with team members.
