Social Media Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Hy-Vee's Corporate Social Media team, within its Marketing department, is looking for a summer 2027 social media intern to help run organic social media efforts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. The intern reports to the Director, Performance Marketing and works in a general office setting and from home.

Key responsibilities

• Track daily posting execution and accuracy
• Assist with publishing social media content on multiple platforms, natively and through publishing software
• Help coordinate project workflow so content deadlines are met
• Assist with cleaning up data in Sprinklr and with reporting and analytics
• Help create links and UTM parameters
• Identify and curate user-generated content and track approvals
• Take part in creative ideation and brainstorming
• Help develop and teach best practices for social media at corporate and local levels
• Enforce brand standards and post accuracy
• Support social media campaigns, reports and special projects, and attend scheduled retail immersion visits

Required profile

• 2-3 years of undergraduate education in digital or social media, journalism, marketing or a related field
• Experience using social media platforms; understanding of paid advertising platforms is a plus
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly and pivot while representing the Hy-Vee brand
• Physical ability to lift or carry objects occasionally and to stand or walk occasionally
