Ad Operations Specialist

About the role

The Ad Operations Specialist works within the RedMedia department at Hy-Vee, reporting to the Director, Retail Media Operations. The role executes and manages retail media advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring they are set up correctly, activated on time and optimized to meet key performance indicators. It involves close collaboration with the retail media team and the management of several brands.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring accurate setup and timely activation.
• Collaborate with the retail media team to understand brand goals and align all campaign elements with them.
• Monitor campaign performance and adjust campaigns as needed to meet KPIs.
• Manage a set of brands, keeping the team informed on progress.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve issues during campaign activation or execution.
• Analyze campaign performance data and recommend optimizations.
• Stay current with advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads and DSPs, using new features and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in ad operations, digital marketing or media buying.
• Experience managing campaigns across multiple advertising platforms.
• Ability to see detail at near range, with or without correction, and to perform sedentary work, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional standing or walking.
• Willingness to meet customers and to handle confidential information such as advertising rates and pricing.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems and carry out solutions.
• Knowledge of campaign management tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads and DSPs.

Work is done in both field and office settings with weekly pressure to meet deadlines. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.
