Smart Home Sales Technician

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG‑owned company, as a Smart Home Sales Technician. You will combine consultative sales with hands‑on technical expertise to help customers create smarter, safer, and more connected homes.

Key responsibilities

• Meet customers in homes, retail locations, and events to recommend personalized smart‑home, security, and automation solutions.
• Generate leads, follow up with prospects, and close sales while providing installation, service, and troubleshooting of Vivint equipment.
• Educate customers on system use and represent Vivint professionally in the field and community.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills with a sales mindset.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass background and licensing checks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Installation of smart‑home equipment.
• Troubleshooting of Vivint smart‑home systems.

• Hourly base pay plus performance‑based commissions and incentives; uncapped earnings.
