Smart Home Sales Technician

About the role

Join the Smart Home team at Vivint, an NRG‑owned company, to help customers create smarter, safer, and more sustainable homes. As a Smart Home Sales Technician you will combine consultative sales with hands‑on technical expertise, meeting customers in their homes, retail locations, and events.

Key responsibilities

• Meet customers in homes, retail locations and events to recommend personalized smart‑home, security and automation solutions.
• Generate leads, follow up with prospects, and close sales through consultations, upgrades and referrals.
• Install, service and troubleshoot Vivint smart‑home equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Educate customers on system usage and provide ongoing support.
• Represent Vivint professionally in the field, retail environments and the community.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills with a sales mindset.
• Ability to build trust, uncover customer needs and ask for the sale.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass background checks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Installation, servicing and troubleshooting of smart‑home equipment.
• Comfort learning and using smart‑home technology.

• Hourly base pay $24.99‑$28.54 plus performance‑based commissions and incentives.
