Site Reliability Engineer – Member of Technical Staff

About the role

Runlayer is building the infrastructure foundation for an enterprise AI platform. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will own the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud infrastructure that serves multi‑tenant SaaS, single‑tenant SaaS, and BYOC deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Own reliability and performance of AWS (ECS, Aurora, CloudWatch) and GCP environments.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration.
• Drive database reliability engineering, including performance tuning and scaling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployments.
• Run incident response, on‑call rotations, and partner with product engineers to design resilient systems.

Required profile

• Experience deploying and supporting on‑prem/BYOC environments at a B2B enterprise company.
• Strong background in AWS services, especially ECS, Aurora, and Kinesis.
• Hands‑on networking knowledge (VPC peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, security groups, DNS, TLS termination).
