Site Reliability Engineer I – Launch Program 2027

About the role

The Business Operations Site Reliability Engineer is the production‑readiness steward for Mastercard products, ensuring platform stability and health. In the Launch Program you will gain hands‑on experience across Mastercard’s business while developing a commercial mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure platform stability and health for Mastercard products.
• Foster developer‑run ownership and build resilient, fault‑tolerant applications.
• Support developers during the build phase with operational design, automation, capacity planning, and monitoring.
• Engage early in the development lifecycle to proactively manage production and change activities.
• Perform triage, root‑cause analysis and conduct blameless post‑mortems.
• Tie activities to compliance and risk mitigation across environments.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s degree, graduating between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Experience with programming/scripting (Python, Go, Bash) and Linux/Unix systems.
• Project or internship experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of system monitoring, observability, reliability, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
