Site Activation Manager

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Site Activation Manager in Durham. The role directly manages the strategic, operational and financial delivery of site activation activities for assigned studies, covering site identification and selection, ethics and regulatory processes and site contracting. It involves overseeing multiple regions and supporting the fast activation of sites needed for patient enrollment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic planning and project oversight to accelerate site activation, including pre-award and bid defense activities.
• Oversee start-up and lifecycle maintenance of assigned projects in line with timelines, ICH-GCP, protocol and customer requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain the Site Activation Management Plan and resolve project issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regions and countries, to deliver the agreed scope.
• Negotiate contracts and essential documents and maintain clinical study approvals and authorizations.
• Assess the regulatory landscape, determine regulatory strategy for submissions and authorizations, and share regulatory intelligence.
• Keep internal systems, databases, timelines and project plans accurate and up to date.
• Create and review technical and administrative documentation for study initiation and maintenance.
• Mentor colleagues (up to Grade 140) and build long-standing relationships with preferred customers, including early engagement meetings.
• Deliver presentations and training to clients, colleagues and professional bodies, and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience, including 2 years of lead experience in a scientific or clinical environment.
• Demonstrable experience in an international role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
