About the role
CB&I is hiring a Shop Painter/Blaster in Clive, Iowa, to become an industrial painter and warehouse operator while being paid to learn. The work involves building water towers and steel tanks.
Key responsibilities
- Operate blasting and painting equipment and perform preventative maintenance on them
- Blast and paint steel components of water towers and oil tanks
- Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move material
Required profile
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Willing to be clean-shaven for respirator use
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and to stand all day
Required skills
- Operating blasting and painting equipment
- Operating cranes and forklifts
- Following safety procedures and company policies
- Courteous and professional communication with coworkers
