Shift Supervisor - Unarmed Security

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed in Auburn, Washington. The supervisor protects a high-profile client's facility, property and surrounding campus for a designated shift, performing general security duties as directed in post orders to deter criminal activity and misconduct.

Key responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as needed per site Post Orders
• Direct and instruct subordinates on their duties and cross-train officers to run the site efficiently
• Recommend productivity and cost-reduction measures, physical security surveys and post orders, and personnel actions
• Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for the shift's security officers
• Ensure required training and screening for security personnel are completed
• Maintain overtime at or below a minimum or predefined level
• Inspect security personnel and their performance to ensure quality of service and contract compliance
• Handle other operations such as payroll, incident reports and security surveys

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensing depends on state and local law
• Valid driver's license
• One or more of: associate's degree, active-duty military, military reserve or National Guard service, auxiliary police or police cadet service
• At least one year of verifiable security experience, or two years of verifiable work experience showing the listed competencies

Required skills

• Excellent customer service, planning and organization, problem-solving and attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication, writing clear reports and composing them
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Coaching, mentoring, motivating and active listening skills
• Ability to assess situations, synthesize information, mediate conflict and set goals

Preferred qualifications

• FEMA Incident Command certification (ICO 100, 200, 300)
• EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or EMT knowledge
