Shift Lead, DashMart

About the role

DashMart is a local-fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, where customers order household essentials, groceries, retail and prepared foods through the DoorDash app and orders are fulfilled in a real store for Dashers to deliver. The Shift Lead works within a local fulfillment center supporting Site Management, taking responsibility for fulfilling orders in a warehouse environment and maintaining inventory, and in some locations also prepares food in a light-prep kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned shifts, including warehouse and kitchen processes, safety, cleanliness, quality and training.
• Maintain accountability for inventory, equipment and other company assets.
• Ensure orders are executed accurately and communicated to customers so Dasher pickups go smoothly.
• Guide Operations Associates through their shift, keeping the team safe and productive and acting as the escalation point for daily operations.
• Support operations in both the warehouse and kitchen, assist with day-to-day tasks and contribute ideas to improve quality and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven track record of success in food and beverage, warehouse and/or retail environments.
• Able to stand and move heavy products, lifting up to 50 lbs depending on the site, and able to operate a pallet jack and hand truck.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a food handling certificate (training provided).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred but not required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Schedule flexibility, as availability depends on the hiring site's needs.

Required skills

• Organized and proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
