Heavy Equipment CDL Driver

About the role

EquipmentShare is hiring a CDL delivery driver for its onsite rental facility in Lima, Ohio. The role involves transporting loads safely and on time, with real-time access to fleet locations, work orders and delivery details provided by the company's T3 platform. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours and on-call scheduling with additional compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive according to state and federal transportation laws and transport loads safely and on time
• Maneuver the truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals
• Load and unload goods and materials, including empty skids, and return equipment to its designated area
• Maintain invoices, shipping bills of lading and other paperwork, and deliver completed documentation to the shipping office
• Perform routine checks such as oil, water, gasoline and air, and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor
• Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns and perform other related duties as assigned

Required profile

• Class A CDL or state-appropriate chauffeur's license for the vehicle weight
• Age 21 or older to operate the company vehicle
• DOT physical and background and drug testing as required by transportation regulations
• Able to sit in a cab for long periods, lift and move up to 40 pounds, and travel frequently
• Clean-shaven appearance may be required for certain deliveries
