Service Technician – Woodside Trumbull

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of its Woodside Trumbull property. The role involves performing technical and mechanical tasks to ensure the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, plumbing, or electrical issues in residential settings.
• Experience with make‑ready turnover processes and coordinating vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory management and documentation.
• Commitment to safety protocols and participation in routine safety meetings.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing, and painting tasks.
