Service Technician – The Commons at Drum Hill

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of The Commons at Drum Hill. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Attention to detail in completing inspections, documentation, and quality checks.
• Willingness to work onsite in a property‑maintenance environment.

Required skills

• Diagnosing mechanical and building defects.
• Repair and general maintenance of residential properties.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
• Painting of curbs, signage, and other fixtures.
• Inventory tracking and basic procurement awareness.
