Service Technician – Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to support the Student Living community at Union on Frank. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service activities accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required OSHA training to comply with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical defects and perform appropriate repairs.
• Attention to detail in completing inspections, documentation and inventory tracking.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures, OSHA guidelines and company policies.
