Service Technician – Student Living (Hale Haukani)

About the role

The Service Technician supports the Hale Haukani student‑living community by ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities are clean, safe, and fully functional. You will respond to resident service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform hands‑on repairs.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a residential environment and interact with residents and vendors.
• Commitment to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
