Service Technician – Elkwood Property

About the role

The Service Technician for the Elkwood community ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This onsite role supports resident satisfaction through timely maintenance and preparation of vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and building issues and perform a variety of repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing documentation accurately.
• Willingness to follow safety and risk‑management procedures and attend regular safety meetings.
• Good organizational skills for inventory management and vendor coordination.
