Service Technician – Aven Ridge

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of its Aven Ridge property in Leander. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Technical and mechanical aptitude to diagnose and resolve building defects.
• Ability to follow established procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to work on‑site and collaborate with vendors and supervisors.
