Service Technician – 505 Summit

About the role

The Service Technician for the 505 Summit property will ensure that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas are maintained to Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time onsite role supports resident requests and preventative maintenance across the Jersey City location.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors and contractors, and ensuring units are ready for new occupants.
• Conduct routine inspections of grounds, amenities and common areas to maintain appearance and safety.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining necessary approvals and ensuring work complies with standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used and time spent.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and building codes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing building systems.
• Good organizational skills to manage punch lists and vendor scheduling.
