Service Supervisor – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Service Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite position supports a lease‑up community of 432 units in Escondido, California.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders generated from resident service requests and routine upkeep, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, procurement of supplies, execution of maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, signage, leasing office, garbage areas, parking lots, and other common spaces.
• Periodically inspect work performed by service team members to evaluate effectiveness of policies and procedures.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring timely completion of projects and compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of property maintenance experience.
• Lease‑up and construction management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Proven leadership in maintenance teams and vendor coordination.
• Relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA, and CPO.
