Service Desk Engineer

About the role

SymQuest, a division of Konica Minolta, is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to deliver remote and onsite technical support for Microsoft‑based business environments across several New England locations. The role blends troubleshooting, user account management, and device provisioning while fostering strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via phone and remote‑control tools.
• Perform onsite support at client locations as required.
• Diagnose and resolve workstation, server, and network infrastructure issues.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and disabling.
• Troubleshoot backup, malware, virus, and other technical challenges.
• Provision new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with application vendors to resolve software errors.
• Document activities and participate in meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a help‑desk or network administration role.
• College degree preferred.
• Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Self‑motivated with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

• Windows 10 & 11 operating systems.
• Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2025.
• Active Directory administration.
• VMware and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
• Antivirus, anti‑spam, and anti‑spyware solutions.
• Backup and recovery technologies.
• Firewalls, routers, managed switches, LAN/WAN/Wireless networking.
• HP Insight Manager and Dell OpenManage.
