Senior/Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Rhoda AI is building generalist intelligent robots and needs a senior cloud infrastructure engineer to design, build, and operate the backbone systems that support data collection, robot field operations, and AI model training.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for data pipelines, robot operations, and model training workflows.
• Own reliability, availability, and latency of core services such as databases, data warehouses, and object storage.
• Develop backend services and APIs that expose infrastructure capabilities to internal teams.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across compute and data stacks.
• Collaborate with research and robotics teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Build observability tooling (metrics, logging, alerting) and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Hands‑on experience managing relational and NoSQL databases in production.
• Experience with data warehouse solutions and large‑scale object storage.
• Solid backend development skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
