Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

About the role

ISG, a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, planning and interior design firm founded in 1973, is adding a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to its engineering team. The engineer works with municipal and industrial clients across the U.S. and reports to the Water/Wastewater Practice Group Leader, Casey Patton, PE, and the Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, Brian Hiles.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and help implement water, wastewater and reuse system operations
• Run treatment technology assessments using data analysis, mass balance calculations, modeling and bench and pilot testing
• Troubleshoot existing systems and drive process improvements
• Assess current systems and forecast future capital and operational needs
• Develop conceptual and detailed engineering plans and specifications, and assist with construction, start-up and operational support
• Prepare permit submittals and conduct field observations and inspections
• Work with teams, communities and stakeholders to define project needs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE), required
• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and drafting water and wastewater infrastructure such as treatment facilities, wells, storage systems, distribution networks, pumping stations, collection systems and lift stations
• Team building and leadership experience is a plus

Required skills

• Strong command of water and wastewater engineering principles
• Mass balance calculations, modeling and data analysis
• Permit preparation and regulatory compliance
