Senior Architect

About the role

ISG, a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, planning and interior design firm founded in 1973, is hiring a Senior Architect in Des Moines. As an employee owner, you will lead the Iowa architecture team, act as a design leader and business builder, and mentor the next generation of architects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Iowa architecture team and contribute to the direction of ISG's architecture practice
• Grow client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor and finding new opportunities
• Lead projects from initial concept through completion
• Build and develop the team by attracting talent, mentoring and delegating
• Own project performance, including budgets, work plans, contracts, quality control and delivery
• Use ISG's multidisciplinary network to pursue innovative opportunities

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional design experience and a license to practice architecture
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited architecture program
• Experience in K-12, sports and recreation, government and cultural projects is a plus
• Ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally, and to represent ISG and clients publicly

Required skills

• Familiarity with Revit, Adobe Suite and SketchUp
• Ability to multi-task across projects at different stages of development

• Compensation of $65,000 - $135,000 per year
