Senior Vice President of Medical Services

About the role

Petaluma Health Center, serving Southern Sonoma County and West Marin, is hiring a Senior Vice President of Medical Services (SVPMS) in Petaluma, California. The SVPMS reports directly to the CEO and provides executive oversight of the medical services portfolio, covering Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Wellness, Specialty Care, Integrative Medicine and other current and future service lines. The role advises the CEO and the Board of Directors on medical strategy and clinical growth.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction and performance goals for medical services and advise the CEO and executive leadership team on strategy, trends and risks.
• Lead the development and expansion of clinical programs and service lines, including population health, value-based care, digital health and telehealth.
• Build and develop medical leadership, including succession planning and mentorship of senior medical leaders.
• Develop partnerships with hospitals, health systems, managed care organizations, academic institutions and other partners, and guide the medical integration of new affiliations.
• Keep medical services aligned with community needs, reimbursement environments and regulatory requirements.
