Senior Vice President, Consulting

About the role

Proxima is hiring a Senior Vice President, Consulting in Chicago. The role shapes the direction of client relationships, people and business, holding executive accountability for a portfolio of clients. It combines commercial ownership with delivery leadership, acting as a trusted partner to board and C-suite stakeholders, owning growth across new and existing clients and developing the leaders and capabilities behind Proxima's long-term success.

Key responsibilities

• Own strategic client relationships and transformation, strengthening executive-level ties and advising on key commercial and transformation priorities
• Shape procurement and business transformation agendas linked to enterprise strategy and financial performance
• Lead board and C-suite conversations and navigate complex stakeholder environments
• Drive revenue growth: own the business development pipeline, shape proposals and commercial structures, and balance client value, profitability and delivery risk
• Hold ultimate accountability for client outcomes, delivery excellence and reputation, empowering senior delivery leaders and intervening at critical points
• Build leadership depth and culture, mentoring future firm leaders and fostering inclusive, high-performing teams
• Contribute to the firm's strategic direction, champion digital, data and AI-enabled delivery, and operate in a hybrid model with travel as required

Required profile

• Extensive senior consulting leadership experience with executive accountability for complex transformations and client portfolios
• Credibility with board and C-suite stakeholders, able to influence strategic decisions and build enduring trust
• Demonstrated record of originating and growing new business and strategic client accounts
• Track record of developing senior leaders, building succession and strengthening collaborative, inclusive teams
• Clear, persuasive communication and a forward-looking approach to digital, data and AI
