Senior Validation Engineer

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer to develop, program, and execute test cases for automotive systems. You will work with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) benches, lab vehicles, and manual prototype testing to ensure system performance meets specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run test cases based on system requirements using HIL test benches, lab cars, and manual vehicle testing.
• Execute integration tests on infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and networking components.
• Set up, configure, and maintain HIL test environments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on failed tests and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain close communication with OEM customers regarding test results and integration status.
• Develop Python scripts to automate testing and improve coverage.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Test Engineer in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in Sunnyvale with occasional flexible remote work.

Required skills

• Python programming for test automation.
• Vector CANoe and CANalyzer.
• Pytest automation framework.
• DoIP, CAN, LIN, UDS (ISO‑14229), ISO‑13400.
• PCAN‑Explorer and Wireshark.
• Jira and Jama for issue tracking.
• Git version control.
• Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
