Senior UX Researcher

About the role

FanDuel is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join its UX & Design team and support the Sports team. The role works with Product Managers, Product Designers, Content Designers, Engineers, Marketers and Analysts to turn user insights into better product design. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate an advanced understanding of users and their engagement with the products, and a solid understanding of the product, its journeys, user needs and challenges.
• Organize, facilitate and analyze unmoderated and moderated user research, and carry out more complex research such as diary studies.
• Integrate analytics and experimentation data and ideas into research planning and reporting.
• Connect research to product priorities, suggest and run research that addresses gaps in user knowledge, and recommend improvements with proposed solutions.
• Make sure research is integrated into strategic conversations across teams, aligned with business and user needs.
• Coach junior researchers on stakeholder collaboration and research craft.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of previous User Experience Research experience.
• Strong knowledge of UX research methodologies and best practices.
• Proven success in cross-functional teams with UX Design, Product and Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of sports and/or experience in a heavily regulated industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of AI capabilities and limitations in user research, including using AI tools to improve efficiency and augment qualitative and quantitative analysis.
