Senior Technical Editor

About the role

PEMCCO is looking for a Senior Technical Editor to lead the creation, review, and distribution of high‑quality technical documentation for government programs. You will work closely with engineers, analysts, and subject‑matter experts to ensure that all deliverables are accurate, compliant, and clearly communicate complex information.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all technical editing, documentation, and publication activities supporting program objectives.
• Review, edit, and approve technical reports, manuals, procedures, plans, and presentations for accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain editorial policies, style guides, templates, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate document reviews, approvals, revisions, and publication schedules.
• Ensure documentation meets contractual requirements, customer expectations, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and SMEs to improve technical content and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical editing, documentation management, or related fields, preferably within government or defense programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering compliant, high‑quality publications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
