About the role
The Senior Tax Manager will serve as a technical resource for the tax team, overseeing income tax compliance, provisions, and strategic tax initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Domestic Income Tax, this hybrid position blends detailed technical work with cross‑functional collaboration to add value across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Review and ensure quality of federal and state income tax returns prepared by external providers, including book/tax adjustments, credits, international filings (e.g., Forms 5471), elections, and nexus analysis.
- Validate indirect tax returns (sales/use, gross receipts, property tax) for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform technical review of global ASC 740 tax provision calculations, deferred tax expense, rate reconciliation, and footnote disclosures.
- Partner with accounting to prepare SEC reporting disclosures (10‑K/10‑Q) and coordinate with external auditors.
- Research tax matters, support planning initiatives, legislative changes, and provide advice on OECD Pillar II and country‑by‑country reporting.
- Support M&A tax diligence, integration planning, purchase price allocation, and post‑acquisition compliance.
- Manage tax compliance calendar, workflow coordination, and process improvements.
Required profile
- Seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in federal and state income tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 tax provision standards and SEC reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to conduct tax planning, M&A diligence, and support strategic tax initiatives.
- Experience managing audits, defending tax positions, and interacting with tax authorities.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
