Senior Targeting Instructor

About the role

Amentum supports the United States Central Command J2 Directorate by teaching Targeting. The tailored curriculum helps senior leaders, including the CENTCOM Commander, make decisions whose analysis indirectly affects the battlefield and the Intelligence Community. The schedule is an 8-hour day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Create, deliver and document training needs surveys and develop courseware for steady-state and crisis/surge environments
• Build an annual course schedule and manage student enrollment and completion in the Learning Management System
• Conduct security clearance checks for non-CENTCOM students and request policy exceptions
• Produce trip reports, WAR inputs, meeting slides, quarterly and annual history reports and ad hoc studies
• Update course descriptions in the catalog and LMS and attend branch meetings
• Obtain initial instructor certification and complete annual recertification
• Deliver Kinetic Targeting training on collateral damage estimation, battle damage assessment, target development and the Modernized Integrated Database

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 8 years of targeting experience
• TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Experience with Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), MIDB, DPSS and DCiDE
