Senior Systems Engineer (TS/SCI) - Cloud Application Support

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968 working with the Department of Defense, is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for its Augusta, GA office. This is an onsite, full-time position requiring a current DoD TS/SCI clearance. The engineer applies systems engineering principles across the system lifecycle and supports cloud applications and systems, including testing, fielding, training, updates and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles across the lifecycle phases (concept, development, production, utilization, support, retirement) and interact with the Government on technical issues
• Ensure the technical integrity of work against ISO/IEC 15288 process areas and contribute to System Engineering Plans, requirements specifications and interface control documents
• Supervise and mentor subordinate project and team staff
• Provide on-site support for cloud application and system testing, fielding, training, enhancements, stability, integration with geospatial and integration services, and hardware and application support
• Keep systems updated with vulnerability alerts, patches and STIGs, and coordinate exercises and technical ingestion
• Oversee operational entity databases and provide system administration support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience in systems engineering or a related technical discipline
• Current/active DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Able to remain seated 50% of the time; occasional movement around the office

• Infrastructure automation linking inputs, controllers and outputs
• Use case development, requirements derivation and technical documentation
• DevOps integration practices across development and IT environments
• Authoring System Engineering Plans and Interface Control Documents
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 15288 Enterprise and Agreement process areas
