Senior Software Developer (TS/SCI, Onsite)

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968 working with the Department of Defense, is hiring a Senior Software Developer for its Augusta, GA office. This is an onsite, full-time position requiring a current DoD TS/SCI clearance. The role covers software design, development, maintenance and support of cloud applications and systems, including data ingestion, testing, fielding and training support.

Key responsibilities

• Work with management, departments and customers to define requirements, design algorithms and flowcharts, write code, test, deploy and maintain software, and document it.
• Supervise and mentor subordinate project and team staff.
• Support cloud application and system testing, fielding and training, and provide on-site support when requested by the Government.
• Assist with data ingestion, formatting and metadata tagging, and keep systems updated with vulnerability alerts, patches and STIGs.
• Support integration with geospatial and integration services, and provide hardware and application support.
• Oversee operational entity databases and provide SYS ADMIN onsite support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• At least 6 years of software development experience.
• Current/active DoD TS/SCI clearance; DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain).
• Able to stay seated 50% of the time, with occasional movement around the office.

Required skills

• C++, C# or C and Python.
• Linux, including kernel-level concepts and advanced networking.
• Security vulnerability analysis and reverse engineering.
• Version control tools.
• Preferred: embedded software, Jira and Confluence, Java and SQL, and experience with government transformation initiatives.
