Senior System Engineer – Power Electronics

About the role

The Sr. Systems Engineer will actively shape the future of the electric drive for battery electric and hybrid vehicles, both passenger and commercial. The role involves coordinating system functions, leading requirements analysis, and overseeing commissioning activities with international vehicle manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Coordinate system functions and lead requirements analysis with vehicle manufacturers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop power‑electronics requirements, define release plans, and monitor implementation with suitable tests.
• Lead on‑site commissioning activities at customer locations.
• Act as central troubleshooting contact within development projects.
• Perform system analyses using Focus area matrix, DRBFM, and FMEA methods.
• Create ASPICE‑compliant requirement documentation in DOORS and technical customer documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable field.
• 7+ years of development experience in electric drives on customer projects with vehicle manufacturers.
• Experience developing requirements with DOORS and broad component, software and system understanding.
• Strong problem‑solving experience.
• Flexible, resilient, self‑employed, pragmatic and goal‑oriented.
