Senior Supply Chain Manager – First Mile (North America)

About the role

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead First Mile planning across North America. You will own the full‑year inbound and fulfillment plan for all AMXL fulfillment centers and inbound cross‑docks, shaping inventory placement and flow to meet demand while mitigating capacity risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the North America AMXL First Mile full‑year plan, managing weekly and site‑level metrics for inbound cross‑docks and fulfillment centers.
• Own inbound and fulfillment metrics including volume distribution, ship units, freight, receipts, transfers, on‑hand inventory, and returns.
• Define inventory placement and inbound flow strategy for direct imports and third‑party seller inventory.
• Identify and mitigate storage, inbound, and outbound capacity risks, balancing weeks of cover, transportation capacity, and carrier strategy.
• Secure leadership alignment on quarterly commitments and hand off plans to finance, transportation, and planning teams.
• Design and automate planning models, forecasting, validation, and data transfer processes.
• Communicate plan changes, risks, and trade‑offs to senior leadership with clear metric bridges.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end supply chain planning for large, heavy, or bulky product categories.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate demand signals into actionable network decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across finance, transportation, operations, and data science teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross‑functional alignment.
