Senior Staff RF Systems Engineer

About the role

The Senior Staff RF Systems Engineer anchors our wireless ecosystem for automotive ECUs, covering 5G/Cellular, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, GNSS, and V2X. This hands‑on individual contributor role spans the full product life‑cycle from design and simulation to global launch and certification.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and prototype RF communication modules for automotive ECUs, including component selection, PCB layout, fabrication, and packaging.
• Use HFSS and cascaded device analysis to close link budgets before hardware production.
• Define and maintain RF requirements specifications across all wireless domains.
• Review designs and scope development activities for new requirements.
• Lead technology and silicon evaluation, benchmarking chipsets, front‑end modules, and antenna systems.
• Own end‑to‑end RF certification strategy for FCC, RED/CE, US carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T‑Mobile), PTCRB/GCF, and other regional regimes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in RF system design for automotive or similar high‑reliability environments.
• Hands‑on expertise bridging silicon‑level design, board‑level implementation, and global regulatory launch.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and act as the go‑to technical authority on RF challenges.
