Senior Staff Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)

About the role

Jefferson Health is hiring a full-time Senior Occupational Therapist at its Jefferson Moss-Magee location in Philadelphia. The Senior OT evaluates, treats and plans discharge for all patients referred for their services, helping them reach their highest level of function while working with other allied health professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and plan discharge for a full caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab and outpatient settings as appropriate
• Plan, organize and deliver treatment programs that help patients recover and rehabilitate
• Use tools and techniques to deliver safe therapeutic interventions and trainings for patients and families
• Document progress, daily treatments, evaluations and discharge summaries
• Assess and apply clinical literature, and participate in student education and teaching
• Support staff orientation, mentorship and competency assessment of new or rotating staff
• Suggest and implement, with manager approval, program development or performance improvement activities
• Complete education, teaching and professional activities and support the supervisor with clinical and departmental operations

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• At least 5 years of current clinical practice
• Valid Pennsylvania state occupational therapy license
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS and CPR certification required
