NP Inpatient Tier II - Infusion Center

About the role

Jefferson Health is hiring an Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for its inpatient infusion center at the Honickman Center in Center City, Philadelphia. The clinician works as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to patients receiving infusion treatments from specialties such as oncology, rheumatology and neurology.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, follow escalation algorithms for infusion reactions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate a prioritized differential diagnosis
• Develop and implement a plan of care based on evidence-based guidelines, and prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Serve as first responder for nursing and house staff during status changes, procedures and resuscitation
• Document evaluations in progress notes in EPIC, meeting acute care compliance standards
• Maintain communication with the care team, patients and families, and mentor graduate students
• Participate in research, grand rounds and specialty meetings, and maintain CEUs and professional membership

Required profile

• Masters degree
• National Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Pennsylvania state license as an NP or PA
• BLS and ACLS certification
