Senior Specialty Representative - Respiratory

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Senior Specialty Representative for its respiratory specialty business, covering the Knoxville, TN territory. The representative is the primary customer contact, acting as liaison to medical professionals by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen's products. Relocation is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the clinical and economic benefits of Amgen products to medical professionals
• Implement and deliver branded sales messages, planned programs and follow-up on medical education programs to achieve territory sales
• Manage accounts by ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues and maintaining product contracts
• Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Share best practices with colleagues and stay informed about disease states, regulations and competition

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharma, biotech, medical devices or hospital sales, OR
• Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience in those fields, OR
• High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience in those fields
• Preferred: 3+ years of pharma/biotech/device sales, product/hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases, local market knowledge, and a Bachelor's in Life Sciences or Business Administration

• Annual base salary of $118,091 - $159,771, depending on skills, experience and qualifications
