Thomson Reuters · Frisco
Job description
About the role
Thomson Reuters is looking for a Senior Solutions Manager, Legal AI FDE, to lead product strategy and execution for customer-facing Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) engagements in CoCounsel Legal. The role owns the product direction of complex legal FDE engagements, working directly with law firm customers, engineers, professional services, commercial segments and core product teams. It covers end-to-end AI product lifecycle management across multiple customer deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with law firms, corporate legal departments and legal operations teams to understand workflows, pain points and constraints, and turn ambiguous needs into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Lead product execution across multiple legal FDE engagements, setting priorities, structuring discovery and keeping customers, engineers and product teams aligned.
- Own engagement backlogs, keeping them scoped, sequenced and tracked through discovery, build, validation, launch and handoff.
- Manage product work from intake through development, deployment, adoption and release readiness, documenting decisions and learnings.
- Identify recurring legal workflows and components that can become reusable capabilities, and recommend when work stays customer-specific.
- Help define validation criteria for legal workflows, including accuracy, transparency, traceability, security and responsible AI.
- Turn deployment insights into recommendations for roadmaps, reusable offerings, enablement and investment priorities.
Required profile
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, workflow platforms, integrations or implementation-heavy environments.
- Experience leading complex, customer-facing product work across multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives.
- Ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into clear product strategy, requirements, prioritization and execution plans.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and influencing cross-functional partners without direct authority.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of legal teams, legal operations and law firm workflows.
- Familiarity with legal use cases such as research, drafting, review, knowledge management, litigation, transactional, compliance or legal operations.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic workflows, APIs, enterprise integrations or document-intensive workflows.
- Track record of turning bespoke solutions into reusable product capabilities.
What we offer
- Flexible hybrid work model and policies such as work from anywhere for up to 8 weeks per year.
- Benefits including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, a 401k plan with company match, flexible vacation, paid holidays, parental and sabbatical leave, tuition reimbursement and mental health support.
- Base pay range of $100,100 to $185,900 USD for eligible US locations, with possible annual bonus.
