Senior Solutions Architect – Cloud, Virtualization & AI (Remote – California)

About the role

GigaKOM is seeking a Senior Systems Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of modern enterprise infrastructure for California K‑12 school districts, higher‑education institutions, government agencies and commercial clients. Working remotely, you will partner with sales, engineering and client stakeholders to modernize, secure and optimize cloud, virtualization and AI‑enabled environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design hybrid and cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, including integration with Microsoft Entra ID for authentication, SSO, conditional access and MFA.
• Develop identity and access management strategies and guide clients through migration, modernization and optimization initiatives.
• Lead end‑to‑end data‑center solution design, ensuring high‑availability, scalability, resilience and security for mission‑critical workloads.
• Provide hands‑on support, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and maintain performance and reliability of deployed environments.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to evaluate existing architectures and propose scalable, future‑proof solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise‑grade solutions on Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Strong background in virtualization platforms and enterprise server environments.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fully remote setting while maintaining high standards of delivery.
