Senior Software Engineer - Reporting

About the role

Siepe is seeking a senior software engineer to own and evolve its reporting and analytics UI platform. You will work on dashboards, charts, grids and self‑service exploration tools that power hedge‑fund and financial‑services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver polished dashboards and reporting flows for portfolio, compliance and operational analytics.
• Integrate front‑end components with .NET/C# backend services via REST APIs, ensuring robust error handling and security.
• Build advanced data‑exploration experiences using Highcharts (time‑series, drill‑downs, heatmaps) and AG Grid Enterprise (grouping, pivoting, aggregation, Excel/PDF export).
• Partner with data engineers on data modeling, query optimization and performance for large datasets (100K+ rows).
• Establish standards for report correctness, validation, auditability and tenant‑specific configuration.
• Implement unit and end‑to‑end testing (Playwright) and leverage AI‑enabled tools to improve development velocity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building end‑to‑end product features in production.
• Proven track record delivering analytics/reporting UIs with dashboards, grids and charting.
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with SQL Server, including aggregation and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and collaborating on contracts.
• Clear communicator able to explain trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
