Senior Software Engineer (Python, C#, C++, Linux)

About the role

Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products that keep people safe. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain sophisticated software applications using Python, C#, C++, and Linux at our Newburgh, IN office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications on Python, C#, C++, and Linux platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver high‑performance, scalable solutions.
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python, C#, C++, and Linux.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and version control (Git).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
