Senior Software Engineer - Mobile

About the role

Read AI is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to own major feature areas across iOS and Android, delivering real‑time AI‑powered transcription and summarization. You will partner with product, design, and ML teams to ship innovative mobile experiences that scale to thousands of users.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) features, from design through rollout.
• Build and optimize real‑time audio capture using AVFoundation and Android audio frameworks.
• Improve app performance, battery usage, latency, and reliability for AI‑driven transcription.
• Design AI‑powered interactions such as chat‑based meeting insights.
• Evolve mobile architecture, state management, and shared standards.
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, release hygiene, observability, and security.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to hiring.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proven track record shipping production iOS and/or Android apps.
• Strong product instincts and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience with real‑time audio processing and offline‑first data handling.
