Senior Software Engineer – Enterprise Application Development

About the role

Mastercard’s B&MI Technology team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain enterprise‑grade payment solutions. You will work on Java‑based back‑end services and modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React, collaborating closely with product partners and other technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Design software that aligns with Mastercard’s Enterprise Architecture and leverages shared services.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code using Java and front‑end technologies.
• Ensure development follows Mastercard standards, documentation practices, and compliance guidelines.
• Support zero‑downtime production deployments and performance engineering of the solution.
• Partner with business stakeholders on product roadmaps, business cases, and feature definition.
• Address operational concerns and drive continuous improvement of existing products.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering enterprise applications in a large‑scale, regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and architectural best practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as PCI, GLBA, and Safe Harbor.
