Senior Software Engineer – Course Authoring & Learning

About the role

Articulate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Rise Course Authoring and Learning team. You will own frontend‑heavy problem spaces, delivering high‑quality, accessible, and performant experiences for authors and learners worldwide. This fully remote role offers the chance to shape core workflows and interaction patterns in a fast‑growing e‑learning platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and iterate on new frontend features while enhancing existing ones.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product leaders to define direction and trade‑offs.
• Influence and help define frontend architecture and reusable patterns.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship of less‑experienced engineers.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and contribute to incident learning and reliability improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience building polished user interfaces with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SCSS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non‑engineers.
• Demonstrated commitment to accessibility, inclusive design, and high performance.
• Comfort working independently on ambiguous problem spaces and delivering reliable solutions.
• Experience with on‑call responsibilities and incident response.
