Senior Site Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer to join its Space and Defense Group in Orrville, OH. You will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations while supporting a safe manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site EHS programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Lead and deliver EHS regulatory compliance training for all employee levels.
• Collect, interpret, and report chemical, biological, radiation, noise, and exhaust data.
• Conduct EHS gap assessments, prioritize findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and corrective‑action analysis for incidents and near‑misses.
• Integrate EHS management systems into daily facility processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands‑on experience working on a shop‑floor.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting and meet strict deadlines.
