Senior Sales Manager

About the role

Hyatt Place Washington DC/US Capitol is hiring a Senior Sales Manager in Washington, DC. The role manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business so that revenue goals are met or exceeded. The advertised pay is $78,000 to $85,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates so they meet brand and hotel standards and HHM core values.
• Sell all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients using professional sales techniques.
• Negotiate terms and conditions that satisfy internal and external customers.
• Manage accounts, making sure solicitation and closing are complete and documented, and coordinate the departments involved in serving accounts.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase satisfaction and account revenue.
• Develop and deliver persuasive verbal sales presentations and articulate the hotel's benefits to close deals.
• Travel locally to make outside calls, promote the hotel and review the competition, and represent the hotel at trade shows.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales; previous hospitality sales experience preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred.
• Ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 10 pounds, and moderate travel between hotel and client locations.
